Kevin Pietersen was born to an Afrikaner father and English mother in South Africa and played for England as a right-handed batsman and occasional off-spin bowler between 2005 and 2014.
In addition to his England role he has played for Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils, Dolphins, Hampshire, ICC World XI, KwaZulu-Natal, Melbourne Stars, Natal, Nottinghamshire, Quetta Gladiators, Rising Pune Supergiants, Royal Challengers Bangalore, St Lucia Zouks, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Surrey.

Kevin created history in June 2018 as he became the first foreign player to deliver the MAK Pataudi Lecture speech
Along with the rest of the England team, he was awarded the MBE in the 2006 New Years Honours.
Kevin Pietersen announced his retirement from all forms cricket at the end of the 2018 season.

Kevin Pietersen – Wildlife Ambassador
Away from cricket, Kevin is a prominent advocate for the welfare and conservation of endangered animals in South Africa. He has recently opened Umganu Lodge, a luxury resort at the edge of Kruger National Park enabling more people to get closer to nature and appreciate the wildlife he cares so much about.
On top of his initiative SORIA (Saving Our Rhinos Africa & India) he’s raising funds for Forward-Looking InfraRed cameras (FLIR), which help to protect wildlife at night from poachers and will also be hosting a charity 100-person bike ride through the Kruger National Park.
