Jon Briggs has been a broadcast journalist for the BBC and ITN since the early 1980s. His live on-air work has taken him from anchoring BBC Radio 5’s Breakfast News show to reporting for BBC Radio 4’s current affairs programmes. His work for ITN, CNBC, Star, and EuroNews includes business profiles of some of the world’s fastest-growing companies.

He founded and ran his own agency – Excellent Talent Ltd – representing 200 of the UK’s top artists for 25 years.

Jon Briggs has been appearing on our television screens and radio channels for over 30 years as a presenter and reporter. His credits include the BBC’s Homewise and Overseas Property TV’s Financial Focus and Overseas Property News. He has been the presenter of Ford Business TV for five years, was the first presenter on air outside the US for QVC, is a regular reporter for ITN Productions, and has fronted many business programmes for EuroNews, CNBC, CNN, and Star Asia.

Jon Briggs is one of the best-known commercial voices in the UK. As well as voicing hundreds of advertisements, he spent 13 years as the voice of BBC Radio 2, and recorded over 1,800 episodes of The Weakest Link.

In 2011, John Briggs became the original male voice of Siri on Apple’s UK products, but he was a well-known voice-over way before then. After leaving Channel 4, he spent three years as the main promotions voice of BBC 1 and seven years as the voice of Sky Movies.
