Jane Cornwell is a music presenter, arts critic, writer, and presenter for events and festivals, television, and radio.
Australian-born, long-time London-based, she is a compere, moderator and onstage interviewer at festivals including WOMAD, the EFG London Jazz Festival, Love Supreme Festival and the La Linea London Latin Music Festival, and major international events such as WOMADelaide, the Gibraltar World Music Festival, Jazz Ahead Bremen, and Oslo World at the Nobel Peace Center, Norway. She hosted Patti Smith Live at the Palladium in 2023.
Jane won the Jazz Media Award at the All Party Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2022, and was on the jury for Moods Jazz Prize Switzerland in 2023. She was the longtime jazz and world music critic for the London Evening Standard, is a writer for Jazzwise and contributing editor of Songlines magazine.
