Amy Lamé

A leading figure in the LGBTQ+ community, Amy Lamé published her first book From Prejudice to Pride: A History of the LGBTQ+ Movement in 2017, which was considered the first of its kind because it was targeted at a young LGBT Audience to “inspire courage and pride in young LGBTQ+ people, and help answer questions for all readers interested in gender and identity”. The book earned Amy many award nominations, including the 2018 ALCS Educational Writers’ Award.

Amy is also the co-founder of the Olivier Award winning arts company and club night Duckie. She regularly hosts at the club night held at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern (RVT), and also DJs at various club nights across the capital.
