Roman is a patron of Joe’s Buddy Line, a charity that provide mental health workshops in schools, and has taken part in Soccer Aid (2006-) in 2019, 2020 and 2021, raising money for UNICEF.

Roman Kemp always had a keen eye on the entertainment world. When he was 15, he signed a record deal with Universal Music as a DJ and was able to work with some great artists and play in incredible venues.
Roman soon expanded into television with a variety of presenting and narrating jobs. Roman was announced as part of The X Factor UK (2004-2018) team in 2016 and went on to present the live Xtra Factor (2004-2016) as well as present on their social media channels. He has also hosted Nick Kicks (2016), 2Awesome (2017) and The Hot Desk (2007-2017).
He has participated in a number of reality and panel shows including Stand Up To Cancer: First Dates (2013-), Len Goodman’s Partners in Rhyme (2017), Loose Women (1999-) – participating in the first all-male panel in the programme’s history, Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel (2021-), Would I Lie To You (2007-) and Celebrity Juice (2008-). In 2019, he took part in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here (2002-), where he made it to the final and finished in third place.
Since 2019, Roman has appeared in the Channel 4 reality series Celebrity Gogglebox (2019-) alongside his father, Martin Kemp of Spandau Ballet fame. In 2020, Roman co-hosted a Sunday morning programme with his father for ITV called Martin & Roman’s Sunday Best! (2020-), followed by its spin-off, Martin & Roman’s Weekend Best! (2020-).

Roman has gone on to present the TV BAFTA red carpet, Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball (2008-) and Summertime Ball (2009-), the London New Year celebration show in 2017 and 2019, backstage at The Brit Awards in 2018, the National Lottery Award red carpet, the GQ Awards red carpet, backstage at Children in Need Rocks the 80s (2017), the Global Awards in 2018, 2019 and 2020 alongside Rochelle Humes and Myleene Klass, and hosted a number of film premieres, including IT Chapter Two (2019).
Roman’s other work includes narrating the ITV2 reality show Bromans (2017), voicing the UK and Global series of Takeshi’s Castle (1986-1990; 2018), and appearing on the ‘showbiz’ segment of This Morning (1988-).

Roman has collaborated with a number of other top brands including Absolut, Cadbury, Coca Cola and EE. Not content with TV presenting, radio broadcasting, and event hosting, Roman has written two very successful books for children alongside his Capital co-host Vick Hope, Listen Up (2019) and Shout Out (2021). Prior to his presenting career, Roman was a successful model, working for the likes of Dropdead and Topman. In 2020, he teamed up with Topman to launch his own collection of bandanas in collaboration with mental health charity Mind.
