At Great British Presenters, we know that for a parody to truly dazzle, it needs more than just a comedian, it needs a professional foil to anchor the absurdity in reality. That is why we were thrilled to introduce the team to Sarah Sealey to star alongside social media sensation GK Barry for this production.

If you have ever scrolled through your social media feed and found yourself genuinely questioning whether a bizarre new product was real or a brilliant parody, you have experienced the power of high-stakes creative marketing. When Echo Falls decided to launch their vibrant new Blue Raspberry flavour wine, they didn’t just want a standard advertisement; they wanted to capture the “buzz” of viral culture.
The result? The “Echo Lift”, a spoof shopping channel segment introducing the “Carry-All” bra, a diamante-encrusted undergarment designed to hold your phone, keys, and, most importantly, a chilled glass of Blue Raspberry wine. But while the concept was undeniably hilarious, the success of the campaign hinged on one critical factor: the casting.
When Gen Z’s favourite wine brand, Echo Falls, partnered with the creative minds at John Doe Group, the objective was clear: create something unexpected, entertaining, and relatable. Research had shown that nearly one in three women aged 18 to 29 leave their purses at home during a night out, often resorting to tucking essentials into their bras.
The “Carry-All” bra was the tongue-in-cheek solution. To launch it, they created “EFTV,” a bespoke shopping channel parody complete with breathless sincerity, starburst edit cuts, and “raz flavour” enthusiasm.

To make the joke land, the production needed two distinct energies. On one side, you had the comedic powerhouse GK Barry, host of the Saving Grace podcast and a recent Loose Women addition, bringing the humor and relatable reactions. On the other side, the production required a co-host who could play the role with the meticulous authority of a veteran shopping channel professional.
When a creative brief calls for a spoof, the instinct might be to hire two actors to “play” the part of presenters. However, our team at Great British Presenters takes a different approach. We believe that true “top-notch” results come from industry expertise.
Sarah was the perfect match!
As a real-life QVC and shopping channel veteran, Sarah didn’t have to “act” like she knew how to demonstrate a product, she has spent years mastering the art of live broadcast and home technology presentation.
Sarah’s role was to be the “perfect foil.” While GK Barry giggled and made quips about “warm drinks being a no,” Sarah maintained a deadpan gravity, pointing her perfectly manicured fingernails at the diamante pockets with the same seriousness one might use for a high-end skincare launch.
This “genuine authority” is what allowed the audience to be part of the joke. Because Sarah stayed so perfectly in character, leveraging her real-world skills, the contrast with GK Barry’s comedy became even more pronounced and effective.
Our role at Great British Presenters is to act as your expert partner in talent acquisition. We don’t just provide a list of names; we offer a personalized matchmaking service that dives deep into the specific needs of your project.
Lee Beattie, CEO of the production company John Doe, noted that the scenario of keeping essentials in a bra felt like a “genuinely relatable problem.” To turn that relatable problem into a viral success, the chemistry between the presenters had to be flawless.
Taran Dhillon, Echo Falls Brand Manager, emphasized the importance of this pairing:
“Pairing GK with Sarah allowed us to commit fully to the shopping-channel world. Sarah brings genuine authority and authenticity to the format, while GK brings the humor and reactions that let the audience be part of the joke.”
