Prior to her accident Vanessa lived an all action girl lifestyle so she’s very knowledgeable on various aspects of sport, including road cycling, eventing, snowboarding and windsurfing.

Her travels have meant she’s experienced cross continental travel such as Belize (accompanied by 6 other female bikers), Bolivia, Spain, Portugal, The USA, Romania, Iceland and Sardinia. He adventures may be travelling via bikes but her programmes are so much more than the mode of transport, Vanessa gives her viewers real insights into the countries and cultures she experiences throughout her journeys.

Vanessa Ruck – Motorcycle sport career

Her racing career includes the Qatar International Baja desert race where she came 2nd in the ladies category, 13th in class and 22nd overall.

More recently she took part in the first Rallye Raid – The Tunisia Desert Challenge, over 8 days and covering 2400km of Desert, becoming the first woman to enter and finish the race.
