Sophie Morgan
Sophie Morgan is a TV presenter, broadcaster, author, and disability campaigner.
She has been paralysed from the chest down since she was 18 when she was injured in a car crash, and is one of the only presenters in the world with a permanent physical disability.
After leaving the hospital and adapting to life as a wheelchair user, she joined the Fine Arts Degree at Goldsmiths Art College, London. During her degree, a second career opportunity arose, as she was asked to participate in a groundbreaking expedition across Nicaragua (Beyond Boundaries BBC 2004) and since then Sophie has gone on to establish a diverse and successful portfolio career, spanning across various creative industries.
Sophie is a regular columnist for Conde Nast Traveller and co-founder of the Rights On Flights Campaign.

Sophie Morgan is now a familiar face on our television screens, and has hosted programmes including Loose Women, Living Wild, and Crufts, and can often be seen commentating at Paralympic Games. She regular reports on disability issues and current affairs for t he BBC, Sky, and Channel 4, and has fronted the critically acclaimed documentaries License to Kill 2010), and The World’s Worst Place to be Disabled (2015). In 2016 she co-hosted The Superhuman Show for Channel 4. She has also fronted the Channel 4 show Fight to Fly, which aims to inspire change and inclusivity in the travel industry.
In addition to this Sophie is an award-winning campaigner, winning the Glamour & Cosmopolitan Magazines Ultimate Woman Awards, not only for her educational work within road safety, but also for raising awareness of the access and attitudinal barriers facing people with disabilities. She launched her #RightsOnFlights campaign, calling for the UK government to grant the Civil Aviation Authority the powers to fine airlines if they fail to look after disabled passengers and make travelling more accessible.
She is often voted as one of the Top 10 Influential People With a Disability in the UK.
She is a proud patron of Scope, Back Up, and Human Rights Watch, and has partnered with international brands including AirBnb, Can-Am, Carbon Black, PADI, Rex Bionics, and Why Not People.
In addition to this work, she has a popular travel column for Conde Nast Traveller titled ‘Breaking Barriers’ which showcases the latest developments in global accessible travel. She is also the Director of three companies; ‘Love Lines’ a boutique Arts company, ‘Empire Investors’ a property investment & development company and ‘Votal’ a voting App. She is also an Artist and Portraitist, working and exhibiting in Bermondsey, London.
