In the midst of a global economic breakdown, where politicians and economist admittedly have no clue on how to fix it, one wonders where the human being goes from here. It is becoming more and more apparent that we cannot solve a problem from the consciousness in which it was created – we’ve tried, and now we are experiencing the results.
In this insightful and profoundly philosophical book, Naomi Sesay pushes the boundaries of who we seem to be, at and ethereal level, to make a case for upgrading our ways of being. The Human Upgrade is a bold statement of self which enlightens the reader towards taking full responsibility for their experiences; thus creating powerful life choices which inevitable have a massive impact on a global scale.
The messages in the book are urgent, exhilarating, and inspiring. When the time comes, we will all feel the pull to upgrade ourselves, and life will appear as we’ve never seen it before.
As an inspiring and thought-provoking speaker, Naomi challenges audiences to examine their emotional and cultural intelligence to create a truly diverse workforce. She has shared her insights on how to connect, resonate and powerfully lead a diverse cohort with audiences.
Hidden in Plain Slight – Diversity in Motion: Creating a truly diverse workface is paramount, but in our current environment, change can be slow and difficult work. This thought-provoking keynote examines how the information we currently possess lock us into unconscious holding patterns. Naomi explores how it is by interrogating our cultural, emotional, and neurological habits, we can demystify the sticking point of change, and move us into a new place of diverse thought and action.
The Future of Inclusive Leadership – Nuances, Quirks, and Science: Is it possible to consciously push the dial of change toward diverse and inclusive leadership? Only if we understand the dial we push. In this interactive talk, Naomi reveals the powerful tools that leaders in the diversity and inclusion space will need to make their teams effective, agile, and precise. She examines the nuances of diversity, the importance of thought leadership, and how to utilise scientific theories on empathetically leading a diverse cohort.
The Golden Thread: Human beings, by nature, are narrative beings, hardwired to connect with, learn from, and understand storytelling. We instinctively tune into stories that resonate with us. Stories can entice, enthral, warn, inspire, dictate, and command, but the most powerful ones are those which weave a thread of truth. Naomi examines the damaging effects of the stories we tell ourselves, whilst re-imaging the art of storytelling to explore powerful stories through the lens of diversity and inclusion.
