Lisa and Simon Thomas set out in 2003 for what they had planned to be a 16-month global expedition. The duo better known as ‘2 Ride The World’ spent the next 16-continous years riding the world on two motorcycles. They survived the world’s harshest environments, and have ridden an insane 500,000 miles, through 80 countries, and across six continents. In their own words,

“We appreciate every day and understand that we’re living an extraordinary life ‘together’!

Along the way, they’ve recorded and shared the highs and lows from their 17-years on the road, via their website.  They have survived broken necks and malaria in the Amazon Jungle, being shot at in Russia, and have explored and traversed 37 deserts.

In Africa, Simon and Lisa were threatened with expulsion having been wrongfully accused of kidnapping a President’s son. They have run out of water, squinted at hallucinations, repaired damaged bikes with scrap aeroplane parts, dined with Maasai warriors and loved each other every step of the way.

This inspiring pair have shared their experiences with over 100-live audiences around the globe, authored articles for top travel and motorcycle publications and made over 40 international TV appearances, written a cookbook and been the focus of a BBC documentary.

Simon recently said;

“As travelers, authors, photographers and filmmakers we scare ourselves silly, correct course as we go and appreciate every day. It’s incredible what we’re each capable of achieving when we turn a deaf ear to those that say it can’t be done. Life should be extraordinary.”
