Rory, former Top Gear Presenter and our resident petrolhead, car obsessive and guru of all gadgety things here at Great British Presenters.
As if you can’t tell by viewing his showreel then Rory loves all things automotive…. quite a lot actually! He has an unbounded passion and knowledge that’s like uncorking a great bottle of the very best fizz. He not only presents, but he writes and broadcasts too.
His background is in journalism, having written for many consumer tech publications both in print and online, meaning he’s developed as a well-respected reviewer and media pundit. This has grown into broadcast media with a whole raft of entertaining and informative programmes.
Despite his love for cars, Rory keenly followed his other passions, technology and writing. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of North London (London Metropolitan University) and began a career in journalism at the age of 20. Rory went on to work for various technology and automotive publications including Personal Computer World Magazine and CNET.com, where he worked as a senior editor, launching the company’s automotive offerings in the UK.
In addition to being a Top gear Presenter, Rory has contributed to the BBC, Telegraph, Bloomberg, CBS, Sky, and many others.

Rory quickly secured a role as lead top gear presenter on Top Gear’s first-ever spin-off show, Extra Gear, starring alongside fellow presenter Chris Harris. He made his first appearance on the main Top Gear show in episode three of series 23 and has appeared in every subsequent episode.
