Phil Gayle is a newsreader, broadcaster journalist, corporate presenter, and live event host, working for channels including BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. He has hosted shows such as Big Breakfast, Crimewatch, and various news programming; he has appeared on Dancing on Ice, and since 2015 has presented DW News broadcast from Germany.

Mike moved into television in 1997, reading the news on Channel 4’s Big Breakfast; he would go on to present other shows for the channel including First Edition and Channel 4 News. He presented Find a Fortune, and That’s Esther on ITV; he has presented several shows on BBC, including Crimewatch Daily, and Holiday on a Shoestring.

Other television appearances include news reading for LWT news-based London Today, London Tonight, and The Week, and The London Programme. He has been a presenter for Deutsche Welle since 2015, appeared on the second series of Dancing on Ice, and appeared in a special edition of The Big Breakfast in 2021.
