After graduating from Leeds University, Amy began her career as a red carpet reporter, before she found herself single and pregnant at 24.

In 2018, she released her first book, Confessions of a Single Mum, which launched her political and social commentary career.

She has since become a regular guest on BBC, Channel 5, GB News, ITV, and Sky News, participating in hundreds of live television appearances, debates, and newspaper reviews.

Amy Nickell Turner appears weekly on Jacob Rees Mogg’s State of the Nation on GB News, is a frequent panellist on the prime-time Patrick Christys Show, can be seen on Sky News’ Press Preview, Channel 5’s The Jeremy Vine Show, as well as Good Morning Britain and Sunday Morning Live.

As well as being a known face in the UK, she has also reached international audiences through her appearances on Türkiye’s state broadcaster TRT.

When she’s not on TV, she is a regular writer and columnist for national magazines and newspapers, including The Sun, The Guardian, The Metro, Cosmopolitan, Grazia, and Fabulous. She has also appeared on Mel B’s podcast The Truth Flirts, discussing dating as a single parent.

She is an experienced live event facilitator, moderator, and MC, with 10 years of experience hosting for big-name clients including Coca-Cola, the Premier League, and Sky.

She has facilitated a music event by Queen legend Brian May, entertained audiences at Bluewater Shopping Centre’s live beauty events, and oversaw the black-tie formalities at the UK launch event for Philippines-based restaurant chain Jollibee. She has commentated at Tough Murrer events, and spoken at the Cheltenham Literature Festiv

​​She can be relied upon with every appearance to provide a down-to-earth, considered, and compassionate perspective on often complex and sensitive subjects. But mainly,  she says what she really thinks, usually with a bit of humour.
