He has more than 20 years experience on both sides of the camera and in that time he has covered every genre from news to business and from lifestyle to entertainment.

He has worked for some of the most prestigious broadcasters in the world including BBC News, BBC World, Sky News and, CNBC Europe.

Akhtar has interviewed some of the most famous people in business, news and entertainment and his area of expertise includes international affairs, geo-politics, health and fitness, entrepreneurship, current affairs, travel and tourism and film industry.

He is also a motivational speaker, conference moderator and speaker having invigilated events in London, Dubai, Singapore and Mumbai.

His career highlights include; covering the war after 9/11 from Pakistan; being appointed Royal Correspondent for Sky News; covering breaking news for his network in New York after ISIS first beheading; covering the 2016 U.S. elections (currently writes for the Huffington Post); being the face of BBC World’s travel show (76 countries travelled and counting).

Akhtar is also a roving Ambassador for The Princes Trust.

His move back to the U.K comes after a 6-year stint working with media in America (Los Angeles and New York) and having launched his own media start-up venture.
