Anjula Mutanda’s media profile has grown and grown, and she has offered her knowledge to shows across ITV, the BBC, the Discovery Channel, Sky, Channel 4 and Channel 5. She has published two very successful self-help books; the first Celebrity Life Laundry came out in 2007 and offered guidance and support for loving relationships, followed by How to do Relationships in 2013, which was written in association with RELATE, the UK’s top relationship counselling service. Anjula conducted an eye-opening piece of research examining the attitudes and aspirations of young women in the 21st Century, producing a paper on behalf of Tia Lusso called The Ladette is Dead. Long Live the Noughty Girl in 2003.
As a corporate speaker, Anjula has consulted with PR companies, assisting as a specialist on their brand campaigns. She has worked alongside the likes of Big Yellow, Bodyform, Braun, California Almonds, Clairol, DVLA, Garnier, Jackpot Joy, Kleenex, Knowthenet, Morrisons, Rolo, Sainsburys, Speedo, Sure, Tango, Thorntons, TK Maxx, Vodafone, Warner Brothers and Wickes.
She is a senior practitioner of MBACP status and is a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has treated clients with post-traumatic stress disorder, anger management issues and those who need relationship guidance. She also offers cognitive behavioural coaching and as the previous Director of Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace, has experience in workplace psychology, organisation and stress management.
She also joined up with leading relationship therapists and academics for the launch of Paired, an app for couples that aims to make relationships happier and healthier.
She is the President for RELATE and has worked alongside the likes of Ruby Wax and Professor Tanya Byron to represent the brand. She is also the Media and Cultural Diversity ambassador for The National Counselling Society.
