Emmanuel Asuquo is a financial advisor and entrepreneur, who works with individuals and business owners to help them prepare for their financial future.
Emmanuel grew up in the shadow of Canary Wharf and dreamed of working at one of the banks throughout his childhood. But realising his dream aged 22, Emmanuel soon realised that his job was really only helping the rich get richer and not helpful for the “everyday person” who needed financial guidance.
Emmanuel has since gone on to work with the likes of Barclays, HSBC and NatWest, giving keynote speeches on financial health as well as diversity in the workplace and systemic racism in the financial industry.
Emmanuel truly believes in financial planning and is known by his clients for always quoting “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
Emmanuel also believes in building long-term relationships and he still has clients from when he first came into the industry over a decade ago. In a world that is forever changing, it is important financial plans are regularly reviewed to ensure clients’ goals are achieved, and this is exactly what he aims to achieve.
As part of our ‘Chat With…’ series at Great British Speakers, director Jane Farnham chats to financial advisor and money-saving expert Emmuanual about the current cost of living and what you can do to save money; his influence on social media and his career. They also discuss his work as an inspirational keynote speaker for Black History Month and what value he can give to your team.
You can also visit our handy EVENTS AWARENESS CALENDAR which helps you to find the ideal speakers for various events running throughout the year including Black History Month, Pride Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Plastic Free July and International Women’s Day
Emmanuel was invited to be one of four financial experts on Channel 4’s primetime television show Save Well, Spend Better (2019-). The TV show was a great success and positioned Emmanuel as a financial expert to millions of people across the UK, he has since done a fair few shows for Channel 4 in association with Barclays.
