Mo Jannah is a versatile presenter, producer and storyteller whose career spans factual, daytime, technology, wildlife and social-impact broadcasting.

His TV breakthrough came in 2017 through the It’s My Shout scheme, where his self-titled observational documentary, Mo’s World, aired on BBC Two. Since then, Mo has built a diverse portfolio across BBC factual and daytime programming, developing a reputation as an engaging, ideas-led presenter with a natural ability to connect people, stories and subjects.

Other works include BBC Radio Wales – Knife Crime: Mo Jannah Busts the Myths.  Here, Mo  sets out to challenge the myths surrounding knife crime, exploring how media narratives can shape perceptions of who is affected. Through personal stories, historical insight and on-the-ground investigation, Mo uncovers a more complex picture of knife crime in Wales.

Known as an “ideas man,” Mo brings curiosity, warmth and a strong instinct for finding the human story within complex or unfamiliar subjects. His cross-sector network and storytelling experience have also enabled him to develop broadcast ideas that amplify underrepresented voices and bring fresh perspectives to national and regional television.

Mo’s breadth of experience is one of his defining strengths. His background spans technology and innovation through to wildlife and the natural world, allowing him to move comfortably between specialist subjects and accessible, audience-focused storytelling.

Alongside his presenting and producing work, Mo is a Wellbeing Facilitator within the TV and film industry, supporting healthier and more inclusive creative environments through programmes backed by Bectu and UK television charities. This work further informs his empathetic approach to interviewing, storytelling and working with contributors.

Mo also works with S4C and has a basic understanding of Welsh. While he is not yet fluent, he is actively developing his Welsh with the ambition of becoming confident enough to present in the language. His conversational Welsh already forms part of his connection to Welsh-language broadcasting and culture.
