Caspar Craven | Entrepreneur
Caspar Craven launched his first business when he was 14, catching and selling crabs and lobsters, and by the time he was 16, he was exporting ½ tonne of crabs every week to Spain. Realising that catching shellfish wasn’t going to make a big impact on the world, he went to University and for the next eight years, he worked in the corporate world before launching his own successful speaking company.
He is self-confessed obsessed with what it takes to, not only achieve big goals, but to initially set them and to tackle them head-on. He understands that, no matter how important a job might be, the person must come first, otherwise no goal can be met. And by putting people first, he acknowledges that human error is a possibility – mainly because he’s lived through it. He’s made every mistake in the book, and instead of hindering his success, it helped it grow.
This obsession with teamwork, leadership and people have led him to carry out his own research into successful leaders, and look into how one’s psychology can impact upon success.
