Sohail Rahman is an award-winning news and programs presenter for Al Jazeera English based out of Doha. He has over 32 years of television reporting and presenting experience.
Sohail made his name in Britain as a Presenter for Granada Reports, winning the Royal Television Society Best Television Presenter award for Granada Reports and Crimefile. He also went on to present national bulletins and programmes for ITV, Al Jazeera, Channel 4, The Travel Channel, BBC TV, Meridian TV, Red Productions, CNN, BBC Wales, Rahman Productions, and RTE Television.
He is an adept and popular speaker, moderator and host on the international conference, awards and event circuit, as well being sought after for events at home in Britain.
He speaks five Indian languages along with French and a little German.
He has won many awards for his work, including a U.S. Television Emmy for his work as a correspondent during the Nepal Earthquake of 2015, and a Royal Television Society North West Awards 2003 as Best Television Presenter in November 2003 for his work on the regional news programme ‘Granada Reports’ and crime-solving programme ‘Crimefile’.
