Michaela Strachan’s other credits include Michaela’s Wild Challenge (2003-06) for Channel 5 which was a double BAFTA award-winning production, earning Michaela the BAFTA for Best Children’s Presenter and the programme the BAFTA for Best Children’s Factual.

For National Geographic, Michaela has fronted Safari Live, live from the Kruger National Park, Adopt a Wild Animal, Postcards from the Wild, and co-presented Big 5 Little 5. In 2014, Michaela Strachan’s cancer diagnosis was made as part of her routine mammogram. Subsequently, she underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Her journey through this experience has been openly discussed, including an interview with iN10 in 2019. During that interview, she shared her decision to discontinue medication prematurely, stating, “I chose to cease the medication because I wished to begin 2019 without relying on drugs. I believe that some of these timelines, like the five-year mark, lack absolute certainty, and mentally, I wanted to enter the year without taking Tamoxifen.”

Michaela is totally brilliant at encouraging people to get outside, and sharing  the important of keeping active to improve your mental and physical health.
