He is the winner of the broadcast equivalent of the Pulitzer prize- the Peabody Award in America, and holds two honorary degrees. He regularly gives interviews and lectures on a range of topics from finance to music to sport to politics, including at several universities, most recently at Oxford University.
He was also a prominent member of the BBC’s reporting/presenting team for the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
He’s covered the administrations of 3 US Presidents, and reported on six US Presidential elections, including anchoring coverage of the victory of Donald Trump. He also co-anchored from Johannesburg, the funeral of Nelson Mandela.
As well as presenting the One, Six and Ten 0’Clock News bulletins on BBC One, and hosting news shows on the BBC News Channel, Clive continues to travel the world as a reporter, and makes features and programmes for Panorama, Newsnight and Radio 4.
He has interviewed many of the key influencers of the past generation including PM Margaret Thatcher, PM John Major, PM Tony Blair, Dep PM Nick Clegg, PM David Cameron, President Jacques Chirac, President Francois Hollande, Secretary John Kerry, Dalai Lama, Kofi Annan.
